I wish I could take credit for these, but I cannot in total. Other than dreaming up how I wanted these, they have been assembled by Compass Lake Engineering. You cannot find a better rifle ANYWHERE! Sorry to be so adamant, but Frank and Theresa not only build the best, but are the nicest people I have met in this business, in almost 15 years. CLE manufactures most of their parts on their CNC milling stations. They currently assemble the match uppers for the CMP, and Frank has been copied for many of his designs. The two-stage trigger Bushmaster sells is Franks design, and was supplied to BM until they found another supplier. If you want an AR that will shoot, or need credible advice, these are the people to see.
BTW, for anyone wanting to practice more, but not burn up .223 ammo or a barrel, look at the .22 uppers Frank designed. They work great and will not wear out. Best of all, and as if it needs to be said, they shoot!
However, basic rifle work is not a problem. Scope mounting, triggers, refinish, re-barrel and bedding, etc....
